About Us

Who we are, where we come from, and where we're headed as a church family.

Who we are

Here's the deal: Grange Baptist Church cares about one thing more than anything else, and that is Jesus Christ. We are a community of individuals and families who have found hope in Jesus and we want others to come into a relationship with Jesus and grow to maturity in Him.

Where we come from

Grange Baptist Church has been part of the Grange community since it began in 1880.  Soon after the church building was constructed, the new Grange Primary School used it throughout the week as their single class school room. We remain committed to this community and the majority of our regular attenders on Sunday, and at our variety of programs throughout the week, come from the surrounding areas. This includes people who have recently moved into the area from interstate or overseas, and people who have lived a few houses away all their lives. It includes people who have never been involved in a church before and people who have followed Jesus all their lives. But one thing we do is make sure everyone has an opportunity to make new friends and be included as soon as possible.

Where we're headed

What's the bottom line? Grange Baptist Church is about cultivating a community built around hope. Hope for the future. Hope for changed lives. Hope for growth. Hope in Jesus. As we move forward as a church family, inclusion and belonging remain the centre of who we are as followers of Christ. As part of this we are committed to being welcoming of all: People who have never been to church; people who may find it hard to find their place in the community; people who are doing well in life and people who are finding life hard. All are welcomed, loved and accepted for who we are.

What this means for you

Most importantly, you're always welcome at Grange Baptist Church. Wherever you're at in your faith journey, or whatever your background, you'll always be accepted as part of the Grange Baptist family.
